1. Introduction

Divineplay Labs ("Divineplay Labs", "we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and treating your data with care and respect. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our mobile application Habit Heroes and any related services (collectively, the "Service").

Our aim is to provide full transparency around how we handle user and device data, especially because our app is also used by children under the age of 13. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service.

2. Who This Policy Applies To

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • Parents / Guardians who create or manage accounts, profiles, or subscriptions.
  • Child Users (under 13) who use the app under the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
  • Any other individual who accesses or uses the Habit Heroes app or related services.

A parent or legal guardian must review this Privacy Policy and provide consent before a child under 13 uses the app.

3. Information We Collect

We only collect information that is necessary to provide and improve the Service. This may include:

3.1 Information Provided by Parents / Guardians

  • Name (optional, where requested)
  • Email address (for account creation, login, and communication)
  • Country or region (optional)
  • Child profile details provided by the parent (for example: child's name or nickname, age group, avatar, habit preferences)

3.2 Information Related to Child Users (Under 13)

For child users, we aim to collect the minimum amount of data necessary to provide the habit-tracking and gamification features. This may include:

  • Child profile information created by the parent (such as name or nickname, avatar, age range)
  • Habit progress and activity data (e.g., completed tasks, streaks, rewards)
  • In-app interactions that relate to progress, achievements, and usage patterns

We do not require a child's email address or direct contact details for the child to use the app. Any account and communication details are handled through the parent/guardian.

3.3 Device and Technical Information

To ensure the Service works properly and to improve performance, we may collect:

  • Device type and operating system
  • App version
  • Anonymous identifiers for analytics or error reporting
  • Log data related to crashes, performance, and usage

We do not collect unnecessary device data or data unrelated to app functionality.

4. How We Use the Information

We use the information we collect strictly to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Habit Heroes app and its features
  • Track habits, progress, rewards, and achievements
  • Personalize the experience (e.g., saving avatars, preferences, and settings)
  • Communicate with parents/guardians (e.g., account updates, support, important notices)
  • Monitor app performance, fix bugs, and improve features
  • Ensure the safety, security, and integrity of the Service

We do not use children's data for targeted advertising or profiling.

5. Data Storage and Security

All user data (for both parents and children) is stored securely on Google Cloud servers using Firestore.

  • We use Google Cloud Firestore as our primary database.
  • We follow best practices for authentication, access control, and security rules.
  • Access to data is restricted to authorized systems and limited personnel only where strictly necessary for operation or support.
  • We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

Despite our efforts, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. However, we are committed to continually improving our security practices.

6. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not share any personal sensitive data of any user (child or parent) with any third party.

Specifically:

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data.
  • We do not share personal sensitive data with advertisers or marketing networks.
  • We do not share children's personal data with third parties for marketing or profiling.

We may use third-party service providers (for example, analytics, crash reporting, or infrastructure providers) solely to help us operate and improve the Service. Where such services are used, we aim to ensure that:

  • Only the minimum necessary data is processed.
  • Data is handled in line with applicable privacy laws and with appropriate security.

We will only disclose information if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or the rights and safety of users.

7. Children's Privacy (Users Under 13)

Protecting the privacy of children is extremely important to us.

  • Our app is designed to be used by children under 13 only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
  • Parents/guardians control and manage account creation and any personal details shared about the child.
  • We collect only the minimum necessary information to provide the habit-tracking experience (such as nickname, avatar, age range, and habit progress).
  • We do not allow children to provide contact information directly to us.
  • We do not show targeted advertising to children or use their data for advertising purposes.
  • We do not share children's personal or sensitive data with third parties.

If we discover that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as reasonably possible.

Parents or guardians may contact us to review, update, or request deletion of their child's data (see "Your Rights and Choices" and "Contact Us" below).

8. Legal Basis and Compliance

Depending on your region, we aim to align our data practices with applicable privacy and child protection laws, which may include:

  • COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) principles for users under 13 in the United States
  • GDPR/UK GDPR principles for users in the EU/EEA/UK (such as data minimization, purpose limitation, and user rights)
  • Other relevant local data protection and children's privacy regulations where applicable

Our key commitments:

  • Collect only what we need
  • Use data only for clear and legitimate purposes
  • Keep data secure
  • Respect user rights and parental control

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and local laws, you (or as a parent/guardian, on behalf of your child) may have rights such as:

  • The right to access the data we hold about you or your child
  • The right to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • The right to request deletion of your or your child's personal data (subject to legal or legitimate business needs)
  • The right to restrict or object to certain types of processing
  • The right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • You can request for your Habit Heroes account deletion here : Request Account Deletion

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information in the Contact Us section. We may need to verify your identity and your relationship to the child user before processing certain requests.

10. Data Retention

We retain data only for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Resolve disputes
  • Enforce our agreements

When data is no longer required, we aim to delete or anonymize it securely within a reasonable timeframe.

If a parent or guardian requests deletion of their account and/or their child's data, we will delete or anonymize the data unless we are legally required to keep certain records.

11. International Data Transfers

Our data is stored on Google Cloud Firestore, which may involve international data transfers depending on the configuration of Google Cloud's infrastructure.

Where applicable, we aim to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place (for example, standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms) to protect your data in line with relevant data protection laws.

12. Third-Party Links

Our app or website may occasionally include links to third-party websites, services, or content. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party services.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you visit or use.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons.

When we make changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top or bottom of this page, and
  • Where appropriate, provide additional notice within the app or via email (for example, if changes are significant or relate to children's data).

Your continued use of the Service after any changes become effective means that you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
